India's coal demand

With oil and gas output disappointing and hydropower at full throttle, Asia's third-largest economy still relies on coal for most of its vast energy needs. About 75 percent of India's coal demand is met by domestic production and, according to government plans, that won't change over the next five years. – Photos by Reuters

Where are all the human right activists gone with the child labor in coal fields? I assume no international law applies on India - nuclear fuel to coal fuel. Plus, these kids are carrying this coal for their house warming. Wouldn't be surprised to hear this.

Sad but true. At least these children are carrying coals unlike kids in Pakistan are told to wear suicide vests and carry guns. These kids are a bit more productive than the ones across the border although the kids should be attending schools

Nice way to show bad things about India. How come I never see any pictrures from New Delhi`s Metro, New airports, any of the IT parks, so many sattelites that India has recently launched. On the other hand I see fashion shows and Guinness useless world records being set by Pakistanis. Would you ever take pictures of girls scools destroyed by Taleban or long line-ups where free food is distributes !! Just so much for your patriotism.

Why ILO, UNICEF or any other human rights (children in this case) is unable to say anything here? May be it's not Pakistan or has nothing to do with Muslims or Islam. No wonder why Naxalite are demanding separate homeland.
