KARACHI, Sept 24: Four ships carrying containers and furnace oil were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, one more ship with iron or also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Asian Trader, Maersk Wyoming, Namiria-II, Fisher-D, Ismail Deeb, African Albatross, Shan Donghi Tong and Lahore, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, steel coil, urea and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 104,549 tons comprising 80,336 tons of import and 24,213 tons of export was handled.
