LAHORE: Guinness World Records’ (GWR’s) Raymond Marshall, South Asia regional executive, has said the partnership between the GWR and the Punjab Youth Festival is unique and will help showcase the talent and dreams of the people of Pakistan.
A press release issued by the festival managers quotes Mr Marshall as saying, “This is the first time in the history of Pakistan that a GWR adjudicator is present in Pakistan to witness the people of Pakistan attempting 45 Guinness World records.”
He said since the publication of the first Guinness Book of World Records way back in 1955, it had helped millions realise their dreams.
He further said: “A record is not just a fact; it’s a mean of understanding your position in the world and it is precisely due to this reason that we are here today.” He praised Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for organising the festival to engage people from all walks of life.
