LAHORE, Sept 3: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf leader Jahangir Khan Tareen has condemned brutal killing of the Shia community in Gilgit-Baltistan.

In a statement issued here on Monday, he said it was nothing but the worst form of terrorism.

“The official machinery has failed to control law and order in the country,” he said.

Mr Tareen said he and PTI chief Imran Khan had met Shia leader Sheikh Jafri and Sunni leader Maulana Khalil in the GB province in this regard.

“The PTI will continue striving for a sectarian harmony in the country. Reconciliation and harmony among various schools of thoughts will strengthen the national unity.”

He said the PTI would continue to raise voice against the elements involved in sectarianism.

He said youths of Gilgit-Baltistan were being organised for the attainment of the PTI mission. — Staff Reporter
