ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Admiral (retd) Fasih Bokhari has constituted an inquiry committee to ascertain the circumstances leading to adverse remarks for the NAB by the Supreme Court in its August 30 judgment regarding Arslan Iftikhar-Malik Riaz case with special reference to paras 21 and 25 of the order.

The three-member committee will be headed by one of the senior- most director generals of the bureau mandated to find out weaknesses and lapses on the part of the joint investigation team (JIT) in the case.

The committee will recommend remedial measures to avoid reoccurrence of such a situation in future proceedings of the NAB. The NAB Chairman has directed the committee to submit its report within ten days.
