ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has constituted a four-member committee headed by Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar to look into the case of Dr Aafia Siddiqui, the Prime Minister House said on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister took the decision in a meeting with Ramsey Clark, former Attorney General of USA and Dr Fauzia Siddiqui, the sister of Dr Aafia, who called on him at the PM House here. Other members of the committee include ministers for law, interior and human rights.

The meeting discussed in detail the matters relating to Dr Aafia Siddiqui, who is detained in the United States.

PM Ashraf told Dr Fauzia that he understood the agony of her family and assured her of all possible assistance, the Prime Minister House statement said.

I agree, Pakistan has become a moral cesspool. Shia, Ahmadis, Hindus and Christians are treated as sub-humans to the point where the police and the judiciary do nothing to stop the intimidation and lethal violence against them. A country who showers an ideological killer with roses has lost it's moral compass.

How come no journalist wants to write an article about her case, but are very outspoken about the minority rights in Pakistan?

I wish this many people had gathered to save little Christian girl from Islamabad.Pakistan is full of hypocrites.Trying to prove and save some one who was on wanted list for a while and whose innocence is doubtful while supporting arrest of a minor girl on known flimsy grounds only because she belongs to a minority religion.
