ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Qamar Zaman Kaira on Monday said that the PPP government always implemented judicial orders and his party would also carry out the directives of Supreme Court even if they were against it.

Talking to media on the premises of the Supreme Court, Qamar Zaman Kaira said that PPP always respected judiciary, and was ready to sacrifice for democracy.

He said that the PPP always implemented the Court orders despite of its concerns. Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf appeared before the apex court as a mark of respect the PPP accorded to the judiciary, he added.

He assured that a solution of the NRO issue would definitely be found out.

Kaira said that the PPP implemented the court's order regarding the disqualification of former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and questioned as to why one could say that court's orders were not being implemented.

Enumerating other cases, he said that the government also implemented decision on contempt law passed by the Parliament.

Replying to a query, Kaira said the government would consult their coalition partners on the NRO implementation issue.

Commenting on the upcoming general elections, the Information Minister said that it would be held on its time; however, it could be held before time with the consultation of all stakeholders.
