LAHORE, Aug 26: Armed robbers plundered cash, jewellery, cellphones and other valuables worth Rs4 million in eight major strikes in the city on Sunday.

Four robbers barged into the house of Maqsood in Nishtar Colony police limits, held family members at gunpoint, collected cash and valuables worth Rs1 million and fled.

Three robbers stormed into the house of Gulzar in GOR in Racecourse police precincts and looted cash, foreign currency, jewellery, a laptop and LCDs worth Rs800,000.

Some robbers burst into Asim’s house in Muslim Town and escaped after plundering Rs100,000 in cash, ATM cards, cellphones and a car.Armed men intruded into the house of Asif in Sattokatla, held the family hostage, gathered cash and valuables worth Rs400,000 and fled.

Some robbers barged into Misbah’s house in Johar Town and looted cash and valuables worth Rs400,000.

Two robbers waylaid the family of Khurram in Civil Lines police limits and robbed it of cash and valuables worth Rs300,000.

As many robbers approached the family of Naveed in Islampura police jurisdiction and deprived it of cash and valuables worth Rs300,000.

Two robbers intercepted Safdar’s family in Chuhng police limits and snatched cash and valuables worth Rs250,000 from them and escaped.
