CHAMAN: At least 12 people, including six women, were injured in a clash that took place during a marriage ceremony in Chaman’s Mehmoodabad area.

Police sources said on Saturday that a group of people armed with sticks, clubs and knives attacked their relatives during the ceremony over a matrimonial dispute.

“As a result of the attack, six men and as well as six women received injuries who have been taken to hospital,” police said.

Subsequently, the police registered a case against 14 suspects and arrested five of them.

The arrested accused were being interrogated. Further probe was in process.
