How is it posssible that moon is sighted in Europe, Middle East and at the same time sighted in Pakistan that is geographically at a distance of thousands of kilometers from these areas? If astronomical calculations tell us there is no possibility of moon sighting there is no way it will be visible. These weather monitoring institutions have got latest equipment with GPS systems that can locate moon in seconds. Why ulema of KP have then decided to celebrate eid on Sunday? Saudi government uses evidence and scientific calculations to decide upon this matter and there hasn't been a single occasion when any of the remote tribes living at far away lands of the kingdom decided to celebrate eid against decision made by majority of ulema...
There is a simple solution. Government should install GPS based high resolution telescopes all around the country. Each one of them will cost about 400,000 PKR. I think 10 would be enough with most of them deployed in KP region. That will eliminate all ambiguities.

Have questions from my brother and sisters from KPK,
(1) why Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai chairs unofficial Ruet-e-Hilal Committee at Masjid Qasim Ali Khan for remaining months?
(2) why brothers and sisters from KPK follow the decisions of chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman for the remaining holy months, Muharram, Rabi-ul-Awal?
(3) why these issues raises for Eids?

I have only one question.
Why the three provinces of Pakistan are celebrating Eid and Ramadan on different dates from the rest of the world?

GPS is also used to correctly align the telescopes to the sky based on their accurate geographical location.

GPS based high resolution telescopes? What's is this?
In my understanding GPS (global positioning system) is to get position on planet not in the sky.
