Asif Sinan is a talented guitarist and singer, and keeping in mind the importance of the month of August, he has played Pakistan’s national anthem in quite a unique style (it’s on Youtube these days, so anyone can watch or lend an ear to it). Given the limitation of the sitar, Asif S has played riffs of eastern classical music on his guitar turning the guitar’s arpeggios to sound a bit like meendh from the eastern classical music so that the sound of the anthem essentially remains the same. It’s a nice piece of experimentation and will help infuse patriotism in the younger lot. They do need it.
