CURRENCY, both notes and coins, serves as an ambassador of the country it belongs to. The way we keep and behave with our currency is unfortunate. We don’t care even about the Quaid whose picture we have on our currency.

We use currency notes as writing pads and keep writing on them time and again.

Also, we use currency notes as tissue to clean dirty hand after eating and repair work, etc.

I have seen people using currency notes to place a glass of water or a cup of tea on them. At the end of the day we find our currency notes full of stains of ink, oil, blood and what not. We should remember that dirty currency notes carry germs and diseases as well.

I request my countrymen to keep Pakistani currency clean. If we keep our currency clean it will promote our habit of cleanliness and will save a bit of money that our State Bank spends on replacement of soggy and tattered currency notes.
