Rizwan excels

KARACHI, Aug 10: A fine all-round performance by upcoming Mohammad Rizwan Khan helped Alamgir Gymkhana reached the quarter-finals of the first Omar Associates Ramazan League Cricket tournament with a 15-run defeat of Woodwards CC at the TMC Ground here the other day.

Rizwan first scored an unbeaten 76 off just 30 balls (five fours and four) sixes off 30 balls and then claimed two wickets for 25 runs.

In another match at the same venue, Brothers CC of Dadu also made it to the last-eight round after beating High Court Green CC by 116 runs.

Summarised scores: Alamgir Gymkhana beat Woodwards CC by 15 runs.
