ISLAMABAD: Chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Nadeem Afzal Gondal on Friday said the committee could discuss the financial affairs of the Judges.

Speaking to media representatives in the Parliament House, the PAC chairman said the committee cannot discuss conduct of judges but it can discuss their financial matters.

Gondal said that the committee has sought opinion from the law ministry about appearance of the registrar Supreme Court before the committee. “If he (registrar) does not appear before the committee, it will send reference to the parliament.”

He said the committee is not intended to discuss the conduct of judges, but their financial affairs. And for the purpose, if the registrar will decline to appear before the committee, it reserves the choice to approach the parliament.
