LAHORE, Aug 4: An additional district and sessions judge on Saturday sought a report from the North Cantonment police station house officer on a petition seeking registration of a case against Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his son, Hamza.

Riffat Ahad Malik, wife of former PML-Q MPA Ahad Malik, filed the petition and alleged that on July 18 last she was on her way back from a court along with her granddaughter when some armed men stopped her car.

She said the goons hurled life threats and warned her to withdraw cases against Hamza. She said Shahbaz and his son were behind harassment.

She said an application was filed with the North Cantonment police for registration of a case but the police were reluctant to take action against the chief minister and his son.

She prayed to court to direct the SHO to register a criminal case against the respondents.

After hearing the contention, the judge sought a report from the North Cantonment SHO by Aug 6.

Ayesha Ahad Malik, daughter of Ahad Malik, has filed many cases against Hamza. She claims to be his wife and accuses him of torturing her and her daughter.
