PESHAWAR, July 30: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Livestock and Cooperatives, Hidayatullah Khan, on Monday directed to set up flood relief cell to provide relief to masses in case of floods.

He issued the directives while presiding over a meeting to review arrangements to counter any eventuality in case of floods. Director General Livestock Dr Sher Mohammad briefed the meeting about contingency plan to counter post-flood situation.

It was decided that flood relief cell would be set up in livestock department to provide relief to masses in case of floods. Facility of DVM doctors, fodder and vaccines would also be provided to the cell for better look after of cattle and animals.

Director Livestock Malik Ayaz Wazir was nominated to look after the activities of flood relief cell.

The members are Dr Ehsanullah, Dr Gohar Zaman, Dr Zafar and Dr Fawad Ahmed.—APP
