ISLAMABAD, June 26: Majority of technical training projects to be executed by National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) in 2012-13 for imparting technical training to jobless youth would be initiated in Balochistan.  

The NAVTTC decided on Tuesday to impart technical training to 5,000 jobless youth across the county in different trades.

The 10th board meeting of NAVTTC approved 23 projects worth Rs292 million for imparting technical and vocational training in different trades to more than 5,000 jobless youth throughout the country under the Prime Minister’s Special Initiative for Hunarmand Pakistan Programme.

Chairman NAVTTC board Muhammad Mumtaz Akhtar Kahloon, while presiding over the meeting, said that the courses under the ‘President’s Funni Maharat Programme’ and the ‘Prime Minister’s Hunarmand Pakistan Programme’ had so far trained more than 135,000 youths.
