LALAMUSA, July 22: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Sunday a cabinet meeting would be called soon in which Federal Law Minister Farooq Naik would brief ministers on prevailing situation in the country.

Talking to reporters and notables at Dera Kaira before leaving for Islamabad, he said that up and down in relations with the Pakistan Muslim League-N was a routine matter. “I think political parties have learnt from the past,” he said, adding that the PML-N was playing its role accordingly.

“We try to take on board all political parties by following the policy of reconciliation by Benazir Bhutto Shaheed and succeeded in it,” he added. The appointment of chief election commissioner unanimously was the evident of reconciliation policy of the PPP-led government, he observed.

To a question, Kaira said that alliance with PML-Q was made keeping in view the national interest, adding that next election would be contested along with the Q-league.—APP
