THIS is apropos of a letter ‘Rise of Muslim Brotherhood’ (July 5) by Mr Mehboob Alam. He has based his conclusions without any direct interaction with the Brotherhood. Despite this he has declared Egyptians as ‘emotional’ people. He has admired the performance of Israel against Egypt but did not mention the success of Egypt in recovering Sinai desert from Israel.

It is not fair on the part of the writer to distort events known to all and hide the facts that are visible to everyone. There were difficult times during the recent movement against Hosni Mubarak and his accomplice. The Egyptians deserve our compliments for their success in installing a civilian president who has many challenges ahead.

It was wrong for Mr. Mahboob Alam to write such a letter, and it is wrong for you to write this criticism. What do you, actually, gain out of this useless discussion? And what are you trying to prove? Haven't we enough problems at hand right now? A word for you, everybody can criticize everybody without exception. I have done the same. Now let’s stop it. Please!

Well Said. I agree Egypt has come a long way now. Egyptian Army, since deposing Farooq, has not given much to Egypt. No known industrial or social improvement is visible there. But after getting rid of Mobarik, Egyptian people have shown their intelligence. They elected a President who is well educated (Phd in Engineering) and is supported even by many non-muslim egyptians. He leads a simple life style. I hope he leads Egypt towards prosperity, peace and unity

I wish whatever you have said becomes true. We are used to do every thing which is not in the interest of Muslim Brotherhood.
