Using religion

Published July 12, 2012

A CELLULAR service provider in the country is offering Umrah tickets against a lucky draw scheme these days by telling the users to spend Rs10 and enter into a daily draw for winning a trip to the holy land.

Inadvertently, through gambling, religion is being used by the corporate sector for monetary gains.

Using Umrah to sell services is both unethical and immoral. We are sure that the operator would immediately do away with the scheme for it seems to be a case of unintentional mistake/oversight.
