Appalling act

THIS is with reference to a mob setting a mentally ill man on fire for allegedly desecrating the Holy Quran in Bahawalpur. God says in His holy book that He would look after His book Himself. Why did a mob try to take over His job?

If the man was mentally unstable and did not know what he was doing, God would have forgiven him. If he was sane and still did it, God’s wrath would have descended upon him sooner or later.

Why do people become judges and executioners on behalf of God? Is He incapable of doing what He has promised i.e., looking after the Holy Quran? If the mob thinks God needs their help, their faith is severely challenged.

The Musalmans in Pakistan are holier than the Pope, and our "momins" have taken it upon themselves to play God and declare who is and isnt a Muslim... As Niemoller said "First they came for the communists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me". Pakistan ka Khuda he hafiz!

Killing in the name of God has always been a blood sport of the ignorant. I am willing to bet that none of these people who participated in setting a poor soul on fire have ever bothered to read the Quran and tried to understand its message. But then again most of our mullahs have read the Quran but never studied it peaceful acpects, They concnetrate on punishiment as a way to ekkp control of the masses. They dont posses the reason and logic obtained by truly studying books. Intellectual discourse is too boring. There is no blood spilled and people aroused.
