KARACHI, July 3: Former Test leg-spinner Abdul Qadir has called upon former Test opener and ex-chief coach Mohsin Khan to come out up with the truth about Pakistan's 5-0 loss in the One-day International (ODIs) series against England earlier this year in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Mohsin, in a recent interview, alleged that Pakistan team's performance ‘unnaturally’ nose-dived in the ODI series against England early this year after they had blanked world number one side 3-0 in the Test series.

“Mohsin is misleading the followers of the game and the nation without coming out with any definite statement on Pakistan loss against England in the ODIs,” Qadir said in an interview here on Tuesday prior to his departure for Lahore after conducting the spinners trials in the PCB Skill Consultant Programme.

“It is the coach’s job as well as of the manager to submit these things in their report. Why did Mohsin not express these suspicions in his report,” asked the former chief selector.

“If you don't have any solid evidence, then please shut-up and avoid damaging Pakistan cricket further and misleading people,” he bluntly remarked.

Qadir lamented that while Mohsin was vaguely alleging that the team under-performed against England, he was also trying to pose as Mr nice guy by not making a clear statement.

He appealed to PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf to look into the matter and save Pakistan cricket from any more controversy or defamation.—APP
