ISLAMABAD: US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said that the United States and Pakistan are allies in the fight against terrorism, and have been successful in defeating their common foes.

The US secretary of state spoke to Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on the telephone and congratulated him on assuming office as the prime minister.

Hillary Clinton said that America wishes to continue improvement in its relations with Pakistan.

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf said that the government and the people of Pakistan are united in their goal of eliminating terrorism.
