QUETTA, June 25: Four members of a family, among them two women, were killed and five others injured when their vehicle overturned near Saranan area of the Pishin district on Monday.

According to Levies sources, Haq Nawaz, brother of provincial minister Haji Mohammad Nawaz, was coming to Quetta from Gulistan along with his family when their vehicle overturned near Saranan area on the Quetta-Chaman national highway.

Haq Nawaz and three other members of the family died on the spot and five others were injured.

Levies personnel took the bodies and the injured to the Pishin district hospital.

The cause of the accident was said to be overspeeding.

The bodies were handed over to relatives after legal formalities.

INJURED DIES: Prof Mohammad Hussain of the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences, who was injured in a bomb attack last week, died in the CMH.

Four people were killed and 72 others injured when the bomb exploded near the university bus in the city’s Jinnah Town area.—Staff Correspondent
