ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar on Tuesday said his party would continue its constitutional and democratic role for continuity and stability of democratic system.

In a statement issued here, he said every step taken by the party would strengthen democratic institutions and in the best interest of the country.

He said all members and workers of the party have expressed complete confidence in the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari.

“PPP leadership will take future course of action regarding Supreme Court’s decision after consultations with its all political allies,” he added.

Mukhtar said the PPP always sacrificed for democracy and it would continue its role for supremacy of constitution, law and democracy besides making efforts for development and prosperity of the country.
