ISLAMABAD: The first friendly football match between Pakistan and Bahrain ended in a goalless draw.

Pakistan is in Bahrain to prepare for the upcoming Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-22 Championship qualifiers in Saudi Arabia from June 23.

Both the teams played well but were unable to score any goal.

Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) secretary, Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi, said that the federation was trying to facilitate the team in all possible ways to ensure a good performance in the Championship qualifiers.

“These tours will help the players gain international experience,” he said.

Pakistan is placed in Group B of the AFC Under-22 Championship qualifiers, along with Syria, Kyrgyzstan, Palestine and Sri Lanka.
