PESHAWAR: Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif on Friday stated that Pakistan was in the midst of crises, DawnNews reported.

Speaking to a gathering of PML-N workers in Peshawar, Mr Sharif said that the people of Pakistan would have to unite to be able to prevail in the face of these crises. The PML-N leader was referring to the floods in Sindh and the dengue epidemic in Punjab.

He moreover said that although the nation was united, the government was not interested in the problems of ordinary Pakistanis.

Mr Sharif blamed the government for the country’s deteriorating security situation.

Furthermore, he said that if the government had taken control of the violence in Karachi, the Supreme Court would not have had to take notice.
