MINGORA: A local leader of the Awami National Party (ANP) was shot dead in Swat's Matta region on Saturday, DawnNews reported.

ANP's district president Muzaffar Ali Khan and two of his associates were gunned down in Matta's Shakardarra area.

Sources said militants stormed Khan's house and shot him dead.

In the past also, Khan had had to leave his house on account of the threats from militants.
