Follow Dawn.com’s live text coverage as Pakistan’s hockey team takes on India in their fifth match of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Ipoh, Malaysia.

Pakistan meet their South Asian rivals meet on the hockey pitch for the third time in 18 months, hoping to reduce the 3-0 deficit at Ipoh’s Azlan Shah Stadium.

Having won two of their first four matches, Pakistan need at least a draw to remain in contention for the semi-final line up while India also need a good result after two wins, one loss and one draw.

6 minutes: Match off to a slow start, with Pakistan going forward and India sitting back. Neither team has created any real chances.

14 minutes: Penalty corner to India.

16 minutes: Goal disallowed. The shot taken by Mahadick rebounded and was flicked into goal by Shivendra but after the umpires conulted each other it was not allowed to stand.

21 minutes: Second penalty corner to India.

22 minutes: India lead 1-0 after a penalty corner was converted into a goal by Rupinder Pal Singh.

25 minutes: First penalty corner to Pakistan.

26 minutes: Pakistan are wasteful with their penalty corner as Sohail Abbas sends it wide to the right side of goal.

33 minutes: Penalty corner to India.

34 minutes: Good save by Imran Shah to deny Rupinder Pal Singh.

Halftime: India 1-0 Pakistan.

36 minutes: Second half underway.

38 minutes: Pakistan looking dangerous as Rehan Butt's effort is stopped by Adrian and soon after, Shakeel Abbas sends a shot flying over.

43 minutes: Rehan Butt's effort is in vain again as Rupinder Pal Singh stops it.

45 minutes: Pakistan are all over India but need to score soon.

49 minutes: Pakistan equalise through Umar Bhutta. India 1-1 Pakistan.

55 minutes: Penalty corner to Pakistan and Mohammad Imran converts it into a goal. Pakistan lead 2-1.

57 minutes: Sohail Abbas scores and solidifies Pakistan's lead. India 1-3 Pakistan,

63 minutes: Penalty corner to Pakistan.

64 minutes: Penalty corner sent wide.
