THIS is apropos of the letter ‘Karachi and its libraries: help sought’ (Feb 5) by Sidra Yaseen.

The writer has pointed to the acute shortage of public libraries in Karachi and the problems she is facing in finding relevant books.

There is no doubt that we have very few public libraries, and amenity plots which are meant for libraries are being sold by unscrupulous people to make bucks.

In my neighbourhood of North Nazimabad, Block B, an amenity plot meant for a library has been sold, depriving our neighbourhood of a library.

Will the judiciary help us in getting back our lost library plot?
