Model-turned-actress Mona Lizza is going to announce her next Bollywood film in April; earlier, she had done an Indian film 'Kajraare'. She has also recently launched her website (www.monalizza.com).

In 2008, Mona had made her debut in Bollywood with the Indian movie 'Kajraare' for which she was signed by producer Bhushan Kumar. The flick was directed by Pooja Bhatt. Mona told this reporter that she would disclose the name of the next Bollywood movie in April. As for the mini-screen projects, she said, she had stopped signing new plays and serials because of her engagements across the border. Her new drama serial 'Jal Pari' -- a Humayun Saeed Production -- will soon be on air. She stepped into mini-screen career in 2003 through the serial 'Rabia zinda rahegi'. She has also worked for theatre in Karachi and Delhi. She is perhaps the first Pakistani actress who also dabbles in painting, poetry and writing.

Film actress Mira will hold a reality show at a private TV channel to “keep public informed about her marriage”. She told this reporter that she wanted to make her marriage public.

“I have been through many scandals as far as my marriage is concerned and I want to make it clear that I am still looking for the right person,” she said, adding that the “show would decide the fate of my life companion.”

As for the scandal about her marriage with a guy named Attiq, she said: “I am not going to say a word about it. It is these very scandals which have forced me to go for a reality show.”

She said she might also participate in Big Boss 5 but promised “I would not expose myself like Veena Malik did”. She said she saw her future in mini-screen as she would bid farewell to her mother institution – the film industry by and by.

A group exhibition of drawings “Lines That Talk” by nine artists opened at the Revivers Galleria, Gulberg a few days ago. The show also marked the second anniversary of the gallery.

The big group show has artworks in the format of drawings depicting faces, people, animals, places and landscapes in pretty good numbers.

The artists are Jimmy Engineer, Iqbal Hussain, Saeed Akhtar, Mansoor Rahi, Hajra Mansoor, Raja Changez Sultan, Chitra Pretam, Abrar Ahmad and Baber Azeemi.The exhibition was a rare opportunity for the art lovers and collectors to enjoy drawings of nine well-known artists of the country under one roof.

The gallery management also cut a cake to celebrate its second anniversary. The exhibition is the 12th show organised by the gallery in two years.

Meanwhile, an exhibition titled 'Painting the Persian Book of Kings Today, Contemporary Shahnama Millennium Exhibition' will open at Zahoorul Akhlaq Gallery on Feb 25. This exhibition was first held at the Princes School of Traditional Arts, London in December 2010.

It was organised by miniaturist and educator Dr Fatima Zahra Hassan-Agha in association with Charles Melville, Director of the Cambridge Shahnama Project, Cambridge University; The Princes School of Traditional Arts, London; and NCA's Research & Publication Center, Lahore.

The exhibition will continue till March 5 between 9am and 5pm.

A Valentine's Day grand party (only for couples) was held near Husain Chowk (Gulberg) on Feb 14. The colourful party was organised by Eastern Events headed by Salman Ghauri and Vox led by Hussna Khan.

The venue was tastefully decorated and the food was lavish. Ambiance was rich with fuchsia pink, black and gold theme. Musical bands also performed on the occasion making it a wide-ranged party.
