One dies in Indian shelling

MUZAFFARABAD, Oct 4: One more person died along the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Kashmir in unprovoked Indian shelling overnight Thursday, police said here on Friday.

Manzoor Ahmed, son of Ghulam Deen died in Samahni sector’s Haripur village after being hit by splinters of a shell at about 9:30pm on Thursday, Superintendent of Police, Raja Ghulam Sarwar, told Dawn.

Samahni sector is located in the Bhimbher district.

Sarwar said the enemy shelling began in Samahni sector on Thursday afternoon without any provocation and continued till night, but no more casualties were reported.
