NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Jan 13 Some 220,380 children are expected to be administered polio drops during the three-day anti-polio campaign starting from January 18.

A meeting was held at the Committee Room of DCO office on Wednesday and EDO Health, Dr Mazhar Ali Hisbani informed that 684 teams would participate in the campaign. Some 33 transit points would be set-up at different bus stops in the district.The EDO health told the meeting that they would need ice and vehicles for making the programme successful and EDO Revenue assured of providing these.

SURPRISE VISIT The newly posted district police officer, Rukhsar Khuhawar paid a surprise visit to police station Tharushah where he found two police constables without uniform, and the WHC and SHO absent. DPO sent the PCs to lockup for two hours and suspended their services.

Later, the SHO Asad Nabi reached police station and informed DPO that the WHC had gone for some office work. The SHO was on patrolling when the DPO came to the police station.
