KHYBER: Nineteen people, including women and children, were injured when a passenger van overturned here on Monday.

Police in Bara said that the ill-fated passenger van was on its way to Bara from Bagh Markaz in Tirah with 18 passengers and the driver on board.

They said driver of the vehicle lost control due to brake failure and it overturned and fell into a roadside ditch near Nangrosa area.

They said that all the passengers, including women and children, sustained injuries with six of them stated to be in critical condition.

The critically injured passengers were shifted to a Peshawar hospital for treatment.
