LAHORE: As many as 129 more people tested positive for the coronavirus during the last 24 hours in Punjab, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 94,715 across the province.

Of them, 46 cases were reported from Lahore that has recorded the highest number of positive cases and deaths in Punjab so far.

Other cases were reported from Rawalpindi, Jehlum, Attock, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahuddin, Multan, Khanewal, Faisalabad, Chiniot, Jhang, Rahim Yar Khan Sorgodha, Mianwali etc.

According to the figures released by the health department here on Wednesday, three more patients of the virus died during the last 24 hours in Punjab, taking the death toll to 2,177 so far.

So far Lahore tops with 834 deaths from virus, Rawalpindi 365, Faisalabad 218, while Multan has reported 148 deaths.
