PESHAWAR: The city police have arrested three young boys for assaulting another boy and filming the incident on mobile phone.

An official at the Rehman Baba police station told Dawn that the incident took place in Hazarkhawni area on the outskirts of the city on Monday night. He said the victim, 12, who worked at a local tailoring shop, was on way home at around 9pm when three boys forcibly took him to the hujra of a local.

The official said two of them assaulted the victim, while the third filmed the assault on a mobile phone.

The official said the accused were presented before a local court, which granted the policy their two-day custody.

He said medical report of the victim was awaited.
