ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Office (PMO) on Sunday issued a brief documentary film highlighting Prime Minister Imran Khan’s efforts to foil India’s bid to isolate Pakistan internationally.

The documentary was prepared by ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) media wing, a source in the PMO told Dawn.

The initial part of the film is based on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statements and his attempts to corner Pakistan internationally by all means. The next segment highlights Mr Khan’s efforts to foil Indian plans, realign Pakistan’s foreign policy, restore and strengthen fraternal ties with leading countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Indonesia and Japan besides the European Union and United Nations.

The film shows his meetings with US President Donald Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, ex-Indonesian prime minister Dr Mahatir Mohamad, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and other leaders.

The news coverage by an Indian TV channel of Pakistan’s role in mediation between the Afghan Taliban and the US is also part of the documentary.

On economic front as well, some success stories of Pakistan are highlighted.

On the sports side, it recalls how international cricket was brought back to the country as for the first time after a long gap Pakistan managed to hold Pakistan Super League cricket matches.
