KASUR: Three more cases of Covid-19 surfaced in Punjab districts of Kasur, Chiniot and Toba Tek Singh on Saturday.
In Kasur, a minor girl, of Allahabad, tested positive for Covid-19. The four-year-old girl is the sibling of one-year-old infant already screened positive for the virus.
This is the second case of the district, while their father, an army personnel, is also under treatment after testing positive on March 30.
The Chunian tehsil administration has sealed the street. Up to 20 people of the family and street were screened, and only the minor girl tested positive.
In Chiniot, a man who returned from Iran tested positive in his second test. He was shifted to the Faisalabad hospital for treatment.
On March 28, 18 people returning from Iran were earlier quarantined and tested in Dera Ghazi Khan. Later, they were allowed to go home in Chiniot Their samples were again taken and a man, 30, of Tahirabad tested positive. His uncle who visited him in the Faisalabad hospital has also been quarantined at home. In Toba Tek Singh, a 38-year-old man of Zeeshan Colony of Kamalia has been shifted to the THQ hospital after a private laboratory confirmed that he was positive for coronavirus.
Meanwhile two more suspected coronavirus cases have also been shifted to the DHQ hospital and and their throat and nasal swabs sent to Islamabad laboratory for virus test.
