SWABI: A teenage boy was killed and his sister injured when the roof of their mud house collapsed in the Gandaf Afghan refugee camp in Topi here on Tuesday.

Bismillah Khan, father of the boy, Amjid Khan, told mediapersons that the house had been weakened by rain.

The residents retrieved the boy and his sister in critical condition and shifted them to hospital. The boy died while being taken to a Peshawar hospital.

The refugees said at least 20 mud houses in the camp had caved in during the recent rains.

Meanwhile, the police arrested three persons with 25,000 kilogrammes of rotten levers of animals on Tuesday.

The arrested men belonged to Sheikhupura (Punjab).They had collected the levers from Peshawar and various other regions and were taking the rotten meat to Punjab in a van.

The SHO Chota Lahor said an FIR had been registered against them.
