LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to dispatch 5,000 tons of wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on a daily basis.

The decision was made in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar here on Monday, says a handout.

Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said that helping the people of Khyber PK was our responsibility adding that Punjab government would provide wheat from its stocks as a goodwill gesture.

He ordered steps for controlling the price of flour, adding that unjustified increase in the price of Chakki flour would not be tolerated.

Senior PTI leader Jehangir Khan Tareen, provincial ministers Samiullah Chaudhary, Mian Aslam Iqbal, MPA Mussarat Jamshed Cheema, chief secretary and other officials attended the meeting.
