RAHIM YAR KHAN: FFC Red Golf Club won the 19th FFC Invitational Sona Golf Tournament with a net aggregate of 412 here on Sunday.

The winners were represented by Abbas Shakir, Shehzad Ahmed, Tariq Sajjad and Asad Hameed. The second place went to FFC Green with a net score of 447 in the event held at the FFC Goth Machhi, Sona Golf Course near Sadiqabad.

More than 100 men and women golfers and teams from various clubs from across the country including Multan, Bahawalpur, Pannu Aqil, Sadiqabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Islamabad, Abbottabad, Dera Ismail Khan and Lahore participated in the two-day individual and team events.

In the boys Under12 event, Umar Javed and Ayan Azhar secured the top two places, while in the girls’ category Mayaza Fatma and Ayera Ali won the first and second positions.

In handicap categories Lt Col Mohsin succeeded in nearest to pin, while retired Lt Col retired Ejaz Farooqi won the longest drive, Shehzad Ahmed the maximum pars and Maaz Warriach the maximum birdies.

Korean golfer Chae Hyeong Kug secured the first prize individal event with a net score of 141 with Mohammad Tufail second position a stroke behind.

In the gross category handicap 13 and above Asad Hameed win the first prize with score of 176 while Tariq Sajjad secured second position with 177.

In the seniors group Mansoor Ahmed and retired Brig Ali Haider Kazmi secured the first and second positions, respectively.

In the veteran category retired Major Khalid Mehmood Asim and retired Lt ColSarfraz Khan the first two spots.

In the ladies putting event Mrs Shoaib Saeed finished first with Mrs Ghulam Mohiuddin clinching the second place.

Resident Manager of FFC retired Brig Talat Mahmood Janjua, who was the chief guest, distributed the prizes among the winners.
