KARACHI: Bahria Club and Falcon Club qualified made it to the final after defeating their respective opponents in the ongoing Mehmood Maulvi Cup Basketball at Abdul Nasir Basketball Courts in Aram Bagh on Saturday night.

In the first semi-final, Bahria Club easily overcame Karsaz Club 48-38. Scorers for the winners were Aun Akram with 18 points and Hamad Wasim with 11 while Mohsin Gujar scored 10 points.

In the second semi-final, Falcon Club beat Patrician Club 34-33 in a sensational finish of the closely-fought contest.

For the winners, the main scorers were Ali Shabbir with 11 points while Shaharyar Nasir and Umar Shabbir scored 10 points each.

For the losing team, Jonathan D’Souza scored 12 points while Victor D’Souza and Alvis Fernandez scored 10 points each but their good tally could not help their team reach the final.
