KARACHI: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two alleged ice dealers who used to bring contraband from Balochistan to Karachi by using ‘fake’ number plates of the army to avoid arrest by law enforcement agencies. Army uniforms were also seized from their custody, said Korangi SSP Faisal Abdullah.
The held suspects — identified as Fahad Inayat and Mohammed Nawaz — were members of an organised gang, which supplied drugs to Defence, Clifton and other high-income areas.
They used women for committing this crime, added the officer while speaking at a press conference at his office.
The police claimed to have seized 900 grams of ice, worth Rs1.8 million; 150 grams of charas, two army caps and two army design number plates from their custody.
