ISLAMABAD: An exclusive national level tennis tournament for women will be organized by Subh-e-Nau in the last week of September here in Islamabad.

“Women tennis players from across the country will have a chance to participate in Eighteen Ladies National Tennis Championship 2019, to be held at Syed Dilawar Abbas Complex (PTF) Tennis Courts from September 25-29,” Chairperson Subh-e-Nau Shahida Kausar Farooq said in a statement here on Wednesday.

She said that this is an exclusive event which aims at the promotion of female tennis players in the country and the tournament will be played on newly developed PTF tennis courts. “There will be six different categories which will include ladies singles, ladies doubles, girls juniors under-18, girls under-14, girls under-12 and girls under-10.

The prize money will be Rs 200,000 while outstation players will be given daily allowances as well. Junior players will also receive economy class train fares as per Pakistan Tennis Federation rules,” said Shahida.
