SWABI: A local leader of Awami National Party was killed by unidentified motorcyclists in Razaar tehsil here on Sunday, police said.

The incident occurred in Shewa village.

Officials said two bike riders opened fire on Fazal Khaliq of Shewa village near his house, killing him on the spot.

Police registered an FIR against unidentified killers and conducted a search operation in the area soon after the incident, but no one was arrested.

Meanwhile, a man was electrocuted on Sunday. Yousaf Khan belonging to Topi city was busy in repairing a water pump inside a well when he was electrocuted. He was taken to the tehsil headquarters hospital where he was pronounced dead by doctors.
