PESHAWAR: Awami National Party provincial president Aimal Wali Khan has alleged that Prime Minister Imran Khan has struck a deal with India over occupied Kashmir at the cost of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Addressing a press conference at Bacha Khan Markaz after presiding over a meeting of the party’s cabinet here on Monday, he said that prime minister should explain the purpose of his recent visit to the US. He alleged that Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco) played a key role in the deal on Kashmir.

He said that CPEC disappeared from the scene. He said that Imran Khan should give details of the alleged deal on Kashmir. He said that former president Gen Pervez Musharraf had orchestrated the deal about Kashmir and the present government formally implemented it.

Aimal Wali alleged that Saudi oil giant had played a major role to resolve the Kashmir dispute and the deal was struck for $75 billion. He claimed that contracts of tourist spots in the India-held Kashmir were awarded after the deal. He said that Kashmir issue should be resolved in accordance with the wishes of people of the valley.

The ANP leader said that Pakistan had been isolated in the international community because of policies of “selected prime minister.” He criticised statements of politicians of Punjab and parliamentarians of the ruling party for linking Kashmir issue with the situation in Afghanistan, saying that immature statements would harm Pakistan’s interests in the region.

Responding to a question, he asked the provincial government to summon the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session to administer oath to newly elected MPAs of merged districts. He said that National Accountability Bureau was intentionally ignoring mega corruption scandals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Aimal Wali said that parliamentary form of government was paralysed and the system was being run through presidential ordinances. He said that PTI had done nothing during its one year tenure except using foul language, character assassination of politicians, corruption, bad governance and price hike.
