RAWALPINDI: A fire at the house of a senior lawyer destroyed documents and other valuables at the 6th Road on Monday, a family member said.

Mohammad Babar Advocate son of senior advocate Supreme Court Mohammad Bilal told Dawn that his father had been out of his home when the fire erupted in his room due to electric short circuit.

He said fire fighters from Rescue 1122 took more than half an hour to bring the fire under control.

“Many documents were gutted but thanks God, every member of my family remained safe,” Babar said.
