ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) on Monday reshuffled several area education officers (AEOs).

According to a notification issued by FDE, AEO Saira Amjad has been transferred from Tranol to Sihala and Dr Ehsan Mehmood from Urban II to Tarnol.

Abdul Waheed has been directed to relinquish temporary duty charge of AEO Sihala. Mr Waheed is Principal of Islamabad Model School for Boys 1-9/4.

AEO Colleges Aftab Tariq has been transferred and posted as AEO Urban II.

Last month too, FDE had reshuffled some AEOs and now after a month it has transferred and posted several officers again.

FDE which is supposed to look after the affairs of 423 schools and colleges of the Islamabad is itself headless since December 2016, when Dr. Shahnaz A. Riaz retired. Since then the important office is being run on ad hoc basis.

Currently, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training Syed Umair Javed is running the office of FDE director general as stopgap arrangement.
