RAWALPINDI: Engine of a Qatar Airways plane developed fault while landing at the Islamabad International Airport on Monday.

However, all the 269 passengers including 13 crew members were safe. The aircraft was parked at Bay # 9 and was being checked by engineers.

According to a senior official of the airline, the plane’s scheduled flight for Doha has been cancelled till Tuesday morning and all the passengers were shifted to hotels.

Sources said the Qatar Airways flight QR-614 with 269 passengers and crew members on board developed technical fault in one of its engines while landing at the Islamabad International Airport on Monday at about 8:35am.

However, the plane was safely landed at the airport by the pilot.
