LAHORE: A five-day oil painting workshop will kick off at the Alhamra Art Center, The Mall on Monday (today).

The workshop is being organised by the Lahore Arts Council and will continue till 21st.

In the opening ceremony, Dr Rahat Naveed Masood, ex-principal of the College of Art & Design, Punjab University will deliver a lecture to students about oil painting and give demonstration to the participants. A total of 25 participants have registered themselves for this workshop.

Lahore Arts Council Executive Director Athar Ali Khan said: “Our young generation is eager to learn these mediums and we have arranged this workshop so students can learn oil painting and can flourish in this field. Certificates will be given to the students at the end of the workshop.”

The council has registered CNIC numbers, addresses and phone numbers of the candidates who have applied for the workshop. At the culmination of the workshop certificates will be given in a grand ceremony which would be held either in the gallery or one of the halls of the Alhamra Art Center, The Mall.
